61 EVENTFUL YEARS AGO TODAY MY PARENTS were told that I was a mircal and should not have surveved the last month in the womb. I was to be named Christina Jane Campbell after a great-great grandma on the Beach side of our family. When my mother woke my dad had already named me Chris Ann with NO middle name. Mom was never a happy woman and not to speak ill of the departed but I grew up hearing lovely thoughts,"If I could do it again I would choose career over children", "Chris Ann was much harder to raise, keep alive, then either of my boys", "Don't worry about spelling, just marry someone rich and hire a secretary","You have fat ankles but the pretty smile will make up for that", "babies are just something you must get past to reach the fun, teen years". I miss my mom and daddy every day. They did the best they could and raised 4 very selfsufficent children that have contributed to society in a possitive way. I will invest my life trying to pass on generations of "Good Citizens",in their memories. I never did marry that rich man but he was a college proffesor and he can spell but I cast that "spelling" problem to the wind years ago...
