God is the artist. We were ready to see this snow in the Great Smoky Mountains yesterday. Now on to the Kids and grandkids for lots of lovin'
We started the month with a bang out in Washington with Carol's family and are about 1/2 way through celebrating many great anniversarys. So far we have seen 3 of our 10 grandchildren turn a new age along with our kids, bonus kids, and nephews. Amya is 4,John 33,Burton70,Stewart 25,Anthony 5,Taylor 15, and Nelson 1,John and Danielle have selebrated 10 years of married bliss. God has been so good to our little family. More events later this month: Dan turns 37 and Dr. Cheryl is coming for a visit. We really have been able to be "double nesters" this past year and have not let any moss grew under our feet. Traveling betwen our families and friends around this globe has been a real blessing. We hope to be back in Mackinaw to see Burtons mom turn 99 in April and have many other trips planned enjoying family and friends.
The Michigan Nelsons gathered in Mackinaw City at the beach of their Lake Michigan Cottage,Cobble Beach. The Lord supplied a nice amount of lake effect snow,a fallen tree, winter like weather, and gifts from wonderful neighbors. We were 6 adults,5children,and 4 dogs strong. The men chopped and stacked the fallen wood, the dogs ran the beach and into the fridgid cold lake, the kids played with their new gifts, the women cooked, ate, and read while the wood stove burned and crackeled. Christmas music played in every room. We talked to distant family and friends and had a GREAT TIME!
