Burt is Back to Work

I spoke with a friend who works at the Fort and they had a job opening that needs to be filled desperately. In these tough economic times your father has decided that he is coming out of retirement to work for the summer shoveling horse poo on the island. He seems excited about it-exercise and free fertilizer for the strawberry plants that Cheryl bought us last year. We are so blessed! He starts the third week of May but will take off for the reunion week.

This is the Triumph. The ship that we will be taking our oldest grandson on in June as we cruise the Canadian Maritimes. We are thrilled to be able to share this with him and are looking forward to taking the whole bunch on an Alaska cruise in June 2010. Walker is our "practice run". Any fun trips in your plans this summer? Any advice from grandparents?

Good Friends from the Frozen North

We were so thrilled to have our first guests,(non family), of the winter. I think Hank and Lilly were even more excited. Terry & Kathy live in Carp Lake, MI about 10min. from Mackinaw City and they have helped us through more then one crisis. Great friends!

Lilly or Hank?

I am in a deli ma as to witch dog should wear this costume in our parade this spring. I'm thinking Lilly because sh is 50 + lbs. but then what should 22 lbs. Hank go as? They won most original for a little red riding hood and the big bad wolf this fall so I have a big followup.
